The world would be a better place if more people lived like Aquarius: truthful, selfless, imaginative, and unafraid to show up as their authentic selves.
As an Aquarius, I have to admit I wish the world was Aquarius. And I have my reasons, for entirely unbiased reasons. I really appreciate depth and meaningful conversation. I would rather sit in silence than engage in surface level discussions. Living a life filled with imagination is so freeing.
When I come across other zodiac signs, I often cannot imagine being so serious all the time. Yes, some grounding is important in this world, but for an Aquarius, just enough is plenty. What I crave most is a selfless nature in the people I meet. When I look at earth signs, I admire them, but sometimes I wish they could take a piece of Aquarius. Why overthink? Why limit yourself? Why be selfish?
My favorite thing about Aquarius is our devotion to truth. I get frustrated when people lie. Why lie? That must be such an uncomfortable way to live. Why not just live in your truth? Show up as yourself? One thing I love about Aquarius is that we accept our flaws. We recognize them, speak them out shamelessly, and really do the work to heal instead of continuing to show up insecurely in the world.
I am sure other Aquarius can attest to this, but I often find myself in unexpected and uninvited battles because of other people’s projection. I am confident in who I am, flaws and all, and I just do not care. I am bubbly. I do not take things too seriously. I am all about fun, dancing, and expressing myself however I feel. Uptight people irritate me because why show up fraudulently? That must take so much effort.
I remember one day in church during a Christmas series, the pastor brought out a box wrapped in Christmas paper and asked the congregation, “Which one are you?” I resonated with the mirror he held up. As I have grown older, I have noticed that showing up authentically can anger some people, and that frustrates me because that is never my intention. I like to make people feel good. That is my humanitarian essence. It is a tough gift because half the time people love it, and the other half react negatively.
It makes me sad sometimes. Why do people avoid seeing themselves? As an Aquarius, I actually love it when people tell me what they notice about me. I learn about myself from other people’s perspectives if it is respectful, of course. But being Aquarius has also taught me that many people struggle with seeing themselves because they do not live in their truth.
I feel life is all about evolving, and if you are not doing that, you are a dead person walking. Maybe that is why the world can feel so depressing. Maybe that is why people in power make so many poor decisions. If people lived in their truth, there would be far fewer disappointments. That is what I love about Aquarius.
We march to the beat of our own drum. We live in truth. We think of others. We have empathy. We do not project our sorrows onto others. We provide depth and uniqueness. We have futuristic mindsets. I truly believe this world would be a better place if everyone were Aquarius.
